CHRISTIAN PRAYER
"Prayer is the raising of one's mind and heart to God or requesting of good things from God." But when we pray, do we speak from the height of our pride and will, or "out of the depths" of a humble and contrite heart? He who humbles himself will be exalted, humility is the foundation of prayer."
--Catechism of the Catholic Church, §2559
Prayer is our response to God and creates a stronger relationship between us and the Father. We cannot be a friend of God and truly know Him unless we spend time in conversation with Him through prayer. There are many ways one can encounter God in prayer. Following are just a few resources we hope will aid you in your spiritual life.
