The Archdiocesan Red Mass is Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a reception; it will be celebrated at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis. Please note that tickets or online reservations are currently not necessary for any Masses at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis. The Archdiocese will follow the guidance of the city of St. Louis with regard to mask requirements. The Most Reverend Shelton Fabre of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux will serve as homilist. Bishop Fabre is a member of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Committee on Cultural Diversity in the Church and serves as chair of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Subcommittee for African-American Catholics. The Red Mass is celebrated annually for judges, prosecutors, attorneys, law school professors and students, and government officials. All first responders and their families are invited to the Blue Mass to be celebrated at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a reception. Archbishop Mitchell Rozanski is the celebrant and homilist at this Mass. The Archdiocese will follow the guidance of the city of St. Louis with regarding to mask requirements. We invite all first responders to wear uniforms, gather ahead of time in front of the Cathedral Basilica and process into the Cathedral at the beginning of the Mass. Special prayers will be offered for our first responders, and they will be recognized during the Mass. The Blue Mass is a Mass celebrated annually in the Catholic Church for those employed in the field of public safety, i.e. police officers, firefighters, 911 operators, EMS personnel, and all first responders. It gets its name from the blue uniforms worn by so many public safety personnel. The Mass dates back to 1934 and calls forth in us a greater awareness of and gratitude for the lives of those who serve us so faithfully. St. Louis Feeds Haiti Packathon on August 14

Have you heard what’s going on in Haiti?  Starvation has reached an unconscionable level creating the greatest humanitarian emergency since the 2010 earthquake. You can do something about this dreadful situation by participating in a Feed Haiti Packathon at Chaminade College Prep on the morning of August 14th. Over a two-hour shift, a group of up to 400 people will pack 200,000 meals for Hôpital Sacré Coeur, the largest private hospital in the north of Haiti.
