Catholic School Olympics

On Saturday,January 26 from 8:30 to 3:30 pm, the Billiken Teacher Corps is hosting "Catholic School Olympics." We are expecting around 165 students from BTC partner schools to come to SLU.

Catholic School Olympics will take place in the Simon Recreation Center and the CGC and it will feature the students taught by BTC teachers and BTC alumni enjoying activities like futsal, basketball, chess, dance, religious trivia, face painting, etc. There will be lunch and opening and closing ceremonies which will be followed by walking over to Chaifetz Arena for the men's basketball game against Davidson.

This is the second time BTC is hosting this event. The goals are to celebrate Catholic education and introduce SLU to potential first-generation college students attending urban Catholic schools of St Louis.

Annual Roe v. Wade Memorial Mass

This January marks 46 years since the U.S. Supreme Court legalized abortion. Join the St. Louis Respect Life community at 10 a.m. on January 26 at the Cathedral Basilica to pray for an end to abortion, healing and forgiveness for those involved in abortion, and an increased respect for all human life. The Mass collection will benefit LifeLine Coalition, a group of local social service agencies who help more than 10,000 people annually. The St. Joseph Altar at St. Ambrose Parish

The St. Joseph Altar will take place on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at St. Ambrose on the Hill. The event begins with Mass in Italian at St. Ambrose Church at 11:00 AM. Following Mass, there will be a short procession up the block to the school cafeteria where the feasting will begin. There will be many Italian specialties for purchase, all arranged around a beautiful statue of St. Joseph. There will also be a buffet with food from local restaurants, on and off the Hill. Admission to the event is free, but a thoughtful donation is requested for the buffet. This year, since the St. Joseph Altar is on St. Patrick's Day, the color will be green.
