United Healthcare Medical Plan

UHC Customer Service Information: 1.888.332.8885

A benefit eligible employee must waive or enroll in the health insurance plan.

Benefit eligible employees of the Archdiocese of St. Louis have a choice between two medical plans that utilize the Choice Plus network; UnitedHealthcare - Standard Plan and the UnitedHealthcare - Premier Plan. They are both Point of Service (POS) Plans which is a network of physicians and hospitals that have a contract with the plan to provide medical benefits. Members can choose any provider for care. However, if you choose an in-network provider (i.e. “go in network”), you will receive a higher level of benefits and your out of pocket expenses will be significantly lower.

Active, eligible employees that choose to enroll in one of the medical/prescription plans are automatically enrolled in the dental and vision insurance plan through the Archdiocese. Coverage is available at three different levels – employee, employee + one eligible dependent, or employee + family. Employee contributions will be deducted from your paycheck on a pre-tax basis.
