Brazilian Junefest

The Brazilian Catholic community will host a Mass and Junefest celebration in honor of St. John the Baptist on Saturday, June 24, at St. Joseph Church, 567 St. Joseph Lane in Manchester. Old Mines anniversary celebration

St. Joachim Parish in Old Mines will host a celebration marking the 300th anniversary of the village of Old Mines on Saturday, June 24, on the parish grounds, 10120 Crest Road. Grounds open at 11 a.m., and the day will include live Creole music, tours of the church and Lamarque school museum, historical exhibits and demonstrations, food, drinks and much more. Holy Hour for vocations

A Holy Hour for priestly and religious vocations will be held from 7-8 p.m. Friday, July 7, at the Monastery of St. Clare (Poor Clare nuns), 200 Marycrest Drive in south St. Louis County. The monastery is located off the 6000 block of Telegraph Road.

Moms’ retreat

Kelsey Gillespy, mother of five and author of “In the Trenches: Finding God through Parenting Littles,” will host a special morning of encouragement for moms from 9:30 a.m.-noon Wednesday, July 12, at Pauline Books & Media, 9804 Watson Road in Crestwood.
