Project Rachel retreat
Project Rachel, an Abortion Healing Ministry program of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, is holding a Day of Hope and Healing for women on Saturday, May 18, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The retreat will be led by trained facilitators, priests and spiritual directors and will be held in a confidential, prayerful setting in the St. Louis area. Vocations Fair at SLU
Saint Louis University will host its annual Vocations Fair from 9 a.m.-11:45 a.m. Friday, May 3, on campus near the university Clocktower. The event, sponsored by the Department of Campus Ministry, will include representatives from various religious communities and will conclude with Mass at 12:15 p.m. at the Jesuit Residence.
‘Crabby Mystic’ pens new book
Sister Mary Lea Hill, FSP, aka the “Crabby Mystic,” will release a new book, “Growing in Virtue One Vice at a Time,” on May 1 with the Daughters of St. Paul. Sister Mary Lea will be in St. Louis for a book signing and talk on Thursday, May 2, at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. at Pauline Books & Media, 9804 Watson Road in Crestwood. Priestly ordinations
Three men will be ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of St. Louis at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25, at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis, Lindell Boulevard and Newstead Avenue in the Central West End. Deacons Jeffrey Fennewald, Robert Lawson and Joseph Martin anticipate ordination by Archbishop Mitchell T. Rozanski. The Mass of ordination will be livestreamed at cathedralstl.org.
Young Adult Retreat
The White House Jesuit Retreat will host a young adult retreat for men and women ages 18-35 from May 30-June 2 at the retreat center in Oakville. Father Anthony Wieck and Father Joseph Hill will guide the reflections. Retreatants may also arrange to begin the retreat on Friday, May 31.
