The Associates of the Archbishop
The Associates of the Archbishop was founded in 1988 as an invitation to participate directly in the mission of the archbishop. Since that time, the ongoing prayers, leadership support and financial gifts of the members have been a remarkable witness of faith in the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
The Associates actively embrace their role as stewards of God's good gifts in service to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Over the past three decades, the Associates of the Archbishop have contributed nearly $150 million to the Annual Catholic Appeal, helping to create vibrant parishes and schools, life-giving ministries, robust charitable programs and a wide range of social services. This extraordinary support over the years has helped those in our community living on the peripheries and many people in our parishes, schools and ministries.
Each fall, the archbishop greets members at a luncheon and an evening reception. He offers members his gratitude for their unfailing support and a vision for the coming year. In addition to these gatherings, there are opportunities and special invitations for prayer, thanksgiving and social events throughout the year. In November, the priests in retirement at Regina Cleri offer prayers for the intentions of the Associates and their deceased loved ones.
