Programs
Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis recognizes that access to steady employment helps lift individuals and families from poverty, and that workforce development efforts promote the common good as well as human flourishing – because work can be an opportunity to reflect the image of our Creator. We also know that many jobs in the St. Louis region go unfilled because of a lack of qualified candidates.
Our programs for older adults foster independence, social growth, and mental and physical well-being.
Through our Cardinal Ritter Senior Services, we provide care through a continuum of residential services of the highest quality, offering the place and space for seniors to fully live their best lives among engaging peers and skilled professionals who care.
In addition to our residential options, our case management and social service outreach is designed to keep older adults in their homes safely – helping ensure those we are privileged to serve have the resources they need to live with comfort and dignity.
We believe that every person has inherent, God-given human dignity and possesses potential, and that access to affordable housing is a fundamental human right.
Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis provides a variety of housing and emergency shelter services including affordable apartments for seniors, residential care for children and adolescents, shelter and support services for women and their children, and both short-term and long-term shelter and transitional housing for low-income families and individuals experiencing homelessness.
Should those we are called to serve face a significant natural disaster caused by a flood or tornado – Catholic Charities is here to provide vital support.
Our Natural Disaster Case Management services help people address the disaster-related unmet needs that still exist as they work to recover.
Helping Foster and Promote Healthy and Strong Families.
We provide a variety of services that help families create a stable environment for all family members. When that’s not possible, then we help find children a safe and stable place to call home – through emergency placement, foster care, and residential programs.
Early intervention, treatment, and recovery services to empower individuals and families
We love and serve each person as made in the image of God, with God-given dignity. Substance use disorders cast a shadow over that dignity, endanger health, and destabilize families. Our compassionate early intervention, treatment, and long-term recovery support services empower men, women, children, and whole families to heal from addiction.
With the healing, help, and hope of Jesus Christ, Catholic Charities aids in crafting a balance of physical, mental, and Spiritual well-being for all in need.
Good health is a combination of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being – brought about through the healing, help, and hope of Jesus Christ. Whether one needs addiction services, counseling, or case management, a healthier, happier life is possible, and Catholic Charities may be able to provide support to people on their journey.
From arrival to integration, we walk beside every immigrant.
Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis provides humanitarian assistance to migrants, refugees, and asylum-seekers through legal aid services, youth programs, bilingual mental health counseling, case management and general support. We also offer interpreter and translator services through LAMP.
LAMP (Language.Access.Multicultural.People.) program provides 24/7 interpretation and translations services, including American Sign Language (ASL) in essential settings, connecting diverse communities and fostering understanding that empower people and build relationships by bridging cultural and linguistic divides.
Navigating legal proceedings is daunting, but Catholic Charities can accompany and advocate for you.
Through our Catholic Legal Assistance Ministry (CLAM), Catholic Charities has provided legal aid to people who are under-resourced for more than 30 years. We annually serve more than 1,300 individuals and provide legal aid in over 1,500 cases in the areas of immigration law, veterans advocacy, family and guardianship law, and housing cases.
