The Sisters at Mater Ecclesiae College go to attain the education they need for effective leadership - in education, in healthcare, in community development – in their own impoverished countries – and become better equipped to face the spiritual, cultural, and societal challenges of life in mission countries. Each day, missionary Sisters work tirelessly to restore hope and lift the human spirit. Their work serves the poor and heals battered communities. Their dedication is an integral part of the social capital that helps lift developing countries out of poverty.

Fund-A-Need: Maria Reina Health Clinic

Since 1975 the Maria Reina Health Clinic has responded to the needs of the immense, poverty-stricken community and currently serves over 5,000 people annually.   Private clinics in La Paz charge upwards of $30.00 USD per visit.  Our clinic charges only $0.75 USD per visit and will still treat those unable to pay.

While needs have increased and healthcare costs have skyrocketed, the funding has not kept pace.  With your support, the Maria Reina Health Clinic can continue to provide excellent and affordable healthcare to those who need it most!

In reaching our goal, we will be able to provide care to 1,000 patients!

Thank you to our Sponsors!

Young Adults in Mission

Who We Are

The Young Adults in Mission group is committed to inviting all young adults to fully express their baptismal call to participation in the missionary life of the Catholic Church, by education, appeal and fellowship. Involvement includes engagement in the Pontifical Mission Societies of the Catholic Church, as well as the missionary programs unique to the Archdiocese of St. Louis: the Latin America Apostolate and Pan y Amor.

Leadership opportunities may include, but not limited to, promotion of missions and missionaries through prayers and offerings, programming with missionaries, and inspiring fundraising and social events. As with the missionary activity of the Church, this group is sent forth by the Holy Spirit and under the patronage of St. Francis Xavier and St. Therese of Lisieux, patron and patroness of missions and missionaries.
