We currently have a part-time/on-call Receptionist role open. The ideal candidate would need to be flexible to work evenings between 5 and 10 pm as needed. This would include Monday through Saturday. This position is responsible for greeting all guests to the Cardinal Rigali Center, issuing proper credentials for visitors, directing attendees to meeting rooms, answering the phone and directing general inquiries to the proper department. This position is critical to the daily operations to ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given proper information and directions while maintaining the security of the facility.
Duties & Responsibilities
1.Greet all entrants to the building upon arrival and assist them with directions to their proper location or inquires.
2.Issue temporary passes and announce guests to the departments upon their arrival.
3.Answer the phone and transfer calls to the appropriate department or assist the caller if a non building department or agency is trying to be reached.
4.Update the building marquee daily to post current meetings and events.
5.Confirm use of conference rooms and set ups with conference originators.
6.Inform Building Supervisor of any changes to conference room schedules or set-ups.
7.Provide coverage for mail room operations upon request and assist with large mailings.
Knowledge & Experience Requirements
1.Over 1 year experience as a receptionist or other public contact / assistance capacity.
2.Ability to use computer programs to include word processing and e-mail.
3.Good understanding of the structure, mission and organization of the Archdiocese and the various departments and organizations within the Archdiocese.
