The Archdiocese of St. Louis has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Generalist. The successful candidate will partner with the Director of HR for Parishes and Schools and participate in the creation of best practices for recruitment and retention, diversity and inclusion, onboarding, training and development and employee relations.
The role prefers a practicing Catholic with functional HR Generalist skills in all facets of Human Resources. The successful candidate will be a good communicator, active listener, self-starter and effective relationship builder. They will have compassion for others and make decisions that are fair and just.
We seek a degreed HR Professional with five plus years of HR Generalist, recruitment and/or HR managerial experience with specific skills and experience in development, design and delivery of HR services to a decentralized and diverse population.
Duties & Responsibilities
•Responsible for creation and implementation of best practices as it relates to parishes and schools.
•Develop recruitment and retention strategies, applicant tracking, etc.
•Develop relationships with parish leadership to foster positive culture and work environment.
•Partner with parishes and Director of HR on training and development needs for parish and school staff.
•Develop and implement best practices for diversity and inclusion.
Knowledge & Experience Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or related experience, with 5 plus years of HR Generalist, Recruitment or HR Managerial experience. PHR certification is helpful as an indicator of functional knowledge.
