  • An Afternoon Program for Mothers and Daughters - 13 to 17 year-old program 04/02/2023 You are invited to an event that provides an atmosphere of love and learning to discuss fertility and to promote communication between mother and daughter. The programs are presented by a registered nurse, an adult woman and joined by a teen on a panel for questions and answers. The programs emphasize respect, understanding and appreciation for God’s gift of sexuality, as well as age-appropriate information on the function of the female reproductive system. Learn More

This month, our speaker will be Father Timothy Cook, Senior Associate Pastor at Mary Queen of Peace Parish. Father Cook's talk, entitled "The Gift and Importance of Music in Liturgy," will be be flavored with music and the accompaniment of musicians from our community.     Please join us on Wednesday, April 26th at 7 p.m. at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 676 W. Lockwood Avenue for a talk about screen addiction and its affect on our brain and brain development. The talk will be in the gym. Our speaker, Sister Marysia Weber, is a religious Sister of Mercy from Alma, Michigan, who is also an author, physician, and psychiatrist. Dr. Weber has done extensive work studying social media and its impact on our behavior, cognitive abilities and social interactions. All are invited to attend, but this will be of special import for parents and grandparents.

The Mary Queen of Peace Society of St. Vincent de Paul annual clothing & furniture drive is on May 21& 22nd. The hours are 8:30 am - 5 pm Saturday and 8:30 am - 4 pm Sunday. The truck will be on the back parking lot for you to drop off clothing and furniture donations. Please click below for items that will and will not be accepted. Your donation helps our neighbors in need and helps our MQP Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
