Naming & Commendation Rite, Christ Prince of Peace Parish, Saturday, January 11

"I am the Resurrection and the life." - John 11:25. Developed by the Archdiocese of St. Louis, the prayer service is designed to meet the needs of families whose child died before birth, for any reason, whether due to miscarriage, accident, still birth, or abortion. All are welcome despite religious background or whether the loss was recent or long ago.


Naming & Commendation will start right after the 8 a.m. Mass at Christ Prince of Peace Parish in Manchester on Saturday, January 11. The rite will offer parents and families an opportunity to name the child, bring peaceful closure to great loss, and unite with our merciful God. January 22, 2020 marks 47 years since the Supreme Court decisions Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton legalized abortion in our country. Since then, over 60 million unborn children have lost their lives and countless women, men, and families have been harmed by legalized abortion in the U.S.


Please join the archdiocesan Respect Life Apostolate and Generation Life St. Louis, and the Catholic and pro-life community in praying for an end to abortion, healing and forgiveness for those involved in abortion, and an increased respect for all human life.


The Mass collection will benefit LifeLine Coalition, a local network of social service and pro-life agencies whose financial and emotional support help more than 10,000 women, men, children, and families annually.


Mass, celebrated by Fr. Noah Waldman, pastor of St. Martin of Tours Parish, will be followed by a peaceful and prayerful Rosary Procession to/from Planned Parenthood and fellowship at a reception in Boland Hall. Archbishop Robert Carlson will be the celebrant, and the homilist is Fr. Arthur Cavitt. A reception and awards ceremony in Boland Hall will follow Mass for the 2020 MLK, Jr. Model of Justice Honorees. For additional information please call 314.367.7929. 2020 Young Adult Pro-Life Holy Hour

Can't make the DC March for Life this year but still want to take a stand for life?


Then join young adults (19-39) throughout the archdiocese to pray for an end to abortion and promote a greater respect for all human life. This annual archdiocesan event, co-sponsored by the Office of Young Adult Ministry and Respect Life Apostolate, will be held on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020 at 6 p.m. at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis. Dinner and fellowship start in Boland Hall at 6 p.m. followed by Adoration, the Rosary, and an opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation in the Cathedral. Then return to Boland Hall to enjoy coffee and dessert while listening to a dynamic pro-life speaker!

Parish Mission

We invite you to join us on February 3 – 6, 2020 for St. Patrick’s Parish Mission “Renewed in the Holy Spirit”. Father Pete Schavitz, a Redemptorist mission priest from Chicago, will present this truly unique spiritual event. Come and be renewed by the Holy Spirit before your Lenten journey begins. A parish mission is a series of presentations that are intended to challenge, support and uplift our spiritual journeys. This mission is for everyone; those brand new in their Catholic faith and those that have been Catholic all their life. Childcare and transportation for those who don’t drive will be available. Each evening will conclude with a parish social complete with wonderful food, drink and conversation. We look forward to seeing you and being “Renewed in the Holy Spirit” together.

Quilt Bingo Social

Do you like to play BINGO? The St. Patrick Quilt Social Bingo is Saturday, February 8, 2020. Doors open at 9:00 AM with bingo starting at 10:30 AM in the parish social hall. Come have fun while trying for a chance to win a beautiful hand-sewn quilt made by St. Patrick Quilters. A quilt is won every 5th game of Bingo, with 30 games played. Other prizes include embroidered pillowcases and towels and crocheted items. Morning pastries and coffee, as well as lunch sandwiches, chips, and dessert, will be available for purchase.
