Witness to Hope: Care of Immigrant Communities From a Catholic Perspective

Priests, religious men and women, parish and Catholic school leaders, immigration justice advocates, healthcare professionals serving immigrant communities and (arch)diocesan and Catholic Charities staff across the Midwest region are invited to a one-day convening focused on key issues related to the pastoral care of immigrant communities.
Discussion topics will include the Catholic Church’s teachings on immigration, enforcement, and the dignity of the human person; “know your rights” guidance; the status of sensitive locations such as parishes, schools, and hospitals; strategies for accompanying and supporting immigrant families; thoughtful approaches to public events and public witness; and effective communications strategies.
