If you can't view the slideshow, click here.

The deadline for applications for summer, 2017 is March 15, 2017.

The St. Louis Review newspaper and Catholic St. Louis magazine have an opportunity for a paid photojournalism internship. The summer program is available to college students currently enrolled in or returning to course work. Recent graduates of university-level education also may apply.

Internships run approximately 13 weeks and are full-time (40-hours/week, $12.50 per hour, no benefits). Work hours will vary based on needs and assignments. Interns must provide reliable transportation (mileage is reimbursed) and their own housing.

Candidates should be studying photojournalism or journalism with a photography or multimedia emphasis. Applicants should demonstrate excellent journalism skills with still photography, videography and multimedia reportage, with an emphaisi on picture stories.

A minimal kit of Canon EOS digital equipment may be available, but interns provide their own digital camera equipment.

The St. Louis Review is a weekly newspaper with a circulation of more than 50,000 and a website at www.stlouisreview.com. It covers the life and mission of the Catholic Church in St. Louis and puts into Catholic context modern ecclesial, political, social and cultural events. Catholic St. Louis publishes six times per year and focuses on catechesis through personal journeys with Jesus Christ. An e-edition is avaialble at www.catholicstlouis.com.

Both are publications of the Archdiocese of St. Louis and are produced by the same staff.

This is an excellent opportnity to work for nationally recognized Catholic publications.

Applicants do not need to be Catholic but must understand and appreciate the mission of the publication. Signing of a Christian Witness Statement is a condition of employment.
