St. John Vianney High School in Kirkwood, Missouri offers a Catholic, college-preparatory program that transforms boys into exceptional men of knowledge, character, and accomplishment. Sponsored by the Society of Mary, Vianney has been educating young men in grades 9-12 since 1960. The Board of Directors seeks a president to begin in the 2020-2021 school year.
The president’s primary role is to be a faith-based leader for the school community. The president is responsible for overall operation of the school by serving as the Chief Executive Officer. The president is directly responsible to the Society of Mary and appointed by and reports to the Board of Directors.
Desired qualities and qualifications include:
•Faith-filled and Christ-centered servant leader who embraces and models the community’s rich Marianist traditions, Catholic values and welcoming family spirit
•Strong practicing Catholic with a passion for Catholic education
•Ability to develop and implement a strategic plan in an ultra-competitive Catholic college preparatory environment, familiarity with the St. Louis market preferred
•Familiar with managing the challenges and opportunities of a school with the ability to raise funds and market the benefits of a Marianist education
•Master’s degree in business, education, organizational leadership, or related field with extensive experience in leading an organization
