OFFICIAL TITLE: Associate Youth Minister
REPORTS TO: Pastor/Director of Youth Ministry
❖ Has a heart for young people and a desire to see them grow in holiness
❖ Practicing Catholic striving to live out the Gospel message
❖ Individual who works well with others and thrives in a team environment
❖ Self-motivated person who can recruit and manage volunteers
❖ Willingness to work weeknight and weekend hours
❖ Strong interpersonal skills necessary. Organizational skills (emailing, scheduling, planning, etc) required of the position.
❖ B.A. or experience in Theology, Catechetics, Youth Ministry, Campus Ministry, Adolescent Psychology, or another related field helpful.
The associate youth minister is a full-time, 40 hours a week employee, with benefits, who will work with the Director of Youth Ministry to further the mission of youth evangelization. This individual will support the mission of ICD “to proclaim the Lord Jesus Christ through our lives, striving with joy to fulfill our Baptismal calling by prayer and worship, teaching, and sharing our faith, serving others, and fostering unity in diversity. Immaculate Conception Parish is a large suburban parish in the Archdiocese of St. Louis with 4,600 families and over seventy active ministries and organizations. The vision of youth ministry at ICD is to form and sustain lifelong disciples in a Christ-centered community within the parish that seeks to foster personal holiness in the lives of teens, parents, and core members, especially through prayer, evangelization, and a special devotion to Our Blessed Mother. In a spirit of joy and humility, the Youth Ministry team will prayerfully serve the Lord in His plan for youth ministry at ICD, seeking to work as a team to lead teens to the Way, Truth, and Life of Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church.
