Everyone has their own story of how they have experienced God’s joy. A few parishioners from across the Archdiocese of St. Louis took the time to share with us stories of how they’ve experienced God’s love and joy. Check them out below and ask yourself - How have I experienced God's joy in my life? Take this question to prayer and ask God how he is calling you to share his joy this season.
"The joy of evangelizing always arises from grateful remembrance: it is a grace which we constantly need to implore." - Pope Francis, The Joy of the Gospel (13)
Spend some time in prayer today refelcting on what God has done in your life and they ways that you've felt his presence. After that, we want to hear how you have experienced joy in your life during this year. we invite you to post a 1-2 minute video on social media using the hashtag #sharethejoy to share your story of joy with everyone you encounter online. it’s a simple step, but it can bring hope to a world that so desperately needs it.
Here's how it works.
1. Record a simple video of yourself talking about your own experience of God's love in your life. It doesn't have to be a deep theological statement, but rather a simple witness of the goodness of God and how you have seen him active in your life.
2. At the end of your recording, choose 2-3 people to "challenge" to share their own stories of Joy.
3. Share your video on social media using the #sharethejoy hashtag and tag those who you have challenged. Also share the link http://www.archstl.org/share-joy on your post for anyone looking for further instructions.
It's that easy!
