From Fr. Bruce Forman - Sts. Peter & Paul Meals Program

9/30/2021
I am looking for two parishes (a group of people from 2 parishes) to work the 4th of each month and the 19th of each month for the Meals Program at Sts. Peter and Paul.

The groups have two choices.  They can come down and cook the meal in our commercial kitchen and serve it to the poor and homeless in the dining room of the parish hall OR we can have a cook prepare the meal and the parish (organization) group would just serve the meals and drinks to the people sitting at the tables.

We do not serve the food cafeteria style as you see in most soup kitchens.  The people sit two or three at round tables and the volunteers serve them.

If any parish would be willing to send a delegation of 6 – 10 volunteers to helps with the Meals Program on the 4th or 19th of the month, that would help us complete our need for volunteers at this time.

For more information, please call Rachel Schoenberger in the parish office for more information or details—314-231-9923.

Time to be Proactive with your Health Again!

This last year has been challenging on so many levels and if you are like me, one of the things that has gone by the wayside is scheduling routine check-ups & screenings... that "Preventative Maintenance" with your
Primary Care Doctor,
Dentist,
Eye Doctor!!!

Summer is fast approaching with a little more "free time" and easier accessibility to medical offices.

If you are under 65,

I strongly encourage you to take advantage of an Executive Physical through our partnership with SSM.  It is fully covered by your insurance (after your doctor's visit co-pay)  and all results are sent to your primary care physician for follow-up.

If you are OVER 65, Medicare will NOT pay for an Executive Physical, but be sure to schedule a Wellness Visit with your doctor!

You only have one body..... be sure to do the Preventative Maintenance to keep it running smoothly for a long time and to catch any glitches early when control is much easier!
