About Father John Patrick Day: Whether in the Missions of Japan for 14 years or in various assignments in later years, I have always loved parish assignments. Also was blessed with working as a chaplain for the Missouri Highway Patrol for more than 20 years and for the Illinois State Police for 34 years. Simply put, I love the Catholic Church with all my heart and am grateful to have spent my life as a Passionist Priest.
