Position Summary:

We currently have a full-time opportunity within the Finance Office for a Technical Support Associate. This position provides support to the Finance Office and other end users of application systems, including remote users.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and generate daily, weekly and monthly reports, extracts and automated jobs in Infor/Lawson and reporting databases following monthly checklist of tasks.
  • Execute various Infor/Lawson functions such as closing and reopening Infor/Lawson GL and subsystems, adding/editing accounting units, activities and activating accounts.
  • Rewrite, maintain and enhance the various reporting databases and applications used in the Finance Office and by remote users.
  • Execute various Infor/Lawson functions such as closing and reopening Infor/Lawson GL and subsystems, adding/editing accounting units, activities and activating accounts.
  • Develop and maintain the Estimated Billing database used to publish Parishes’ Archdiocesan Support Services, Catholic Education and Mission Advancement Initiative Assessments estimates to be used by the Parishes when planning their upcoming annual budget.
  • Develop and maintain the Consolidated Billing database used to publish the Annual Consolidated Billing Documents consisting of various charges including those listed above.
  • Print and distribute SLAF Bank Statements at beginning of month.
  • Print and distribute annual Priest Compensation Letters.
  • Upload various data files into Infor/Lawson.
  • Provide support to Finance Office staff, Payroll staff, SLAF staff and HR staff.
  • Update Technical Support documentation with revisions to processes.
  • Other jobs as assigned by Technical Support Manager.

Knowledge & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent related work experience required.
  • A strong knowledge of VB.Net and databases, especially Microsoft Access is required.
  • A good working knowledge of other Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) is required. Experience with Infor/Lawson software and accounting theory is preferred.
