Saint Joseph Parish in Clayton, Missouri, is in need of a Parish School of Religion (P.S.R.) Director for the 2021-2022 school year. The Saint Joseph Parish School of Religion, which also serves nearby parishes, is a small but strong program with about 100 students. The program serves to impart the Catholic faith to children in grades 1-8.
The Parish School of Religion meets for an hour and fifteen minutes on Sunday mornings during the academic year. The Director is expected to have a thorough formation in the Catholic faith and have the necessary leadership skills to coordinate the program. A special focus of the Director is coordinating with the catechists who prepare children to receive First Holy Communion and the Sacrament of Confirmation. The Director is responsible for the registration of students, coordinating the P.S.R. calendar, opening and closing the school, being present during school time, communicating with the parents, and working under the pastor and with the catechists for the effective education of the students in the Catholic faith.
