HRIS System Analyst

Position Summary

The primary focus of HRIS System Analyst is to support the implementation of a new HCM system for the Archdiocese of St. Louis. This position is fully dedicated to the implementation project, and is a key member of the main implementation team. Post-implementation, this position will transition to focus on the day-to-day management of the new HCM system and related activities.

This position plays an important role in supporting the operational business needs of the parishes, schools, Catholic Charities, the Offices and Agencies of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, so they may effectively minister to the needs of the communities which they serve.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participate as a full-time team member dedicated to the implementation of a new, organization-wide HCM system – which includes HR, Payroll, Timekeeping, Benefits Administration, Applicant Tracking &Onboarding, Employee and Manager Self-Service.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Benefits, and Recruiting process owners, to identify and understand key business functional and reporting requirements of the new HCM system. Translate those requirements into Functional Specification and Report Specification documents which will be used to configure the new HCM system.
  • Participate in the design and configuration of the new HCM system, including business rules and processes, timekeeping rules and processes, security roles, configurable fields, workflows, automation rules, etc.
  • Participate in the planning, creation and execution of test scripts for the purposes of User Acceptance Testing and Payroll Parallel Testing.
  • Participate in the writing and testing of a variety of reports using the appropriate reporting tools.
  • Participate in the development and creation of education and training resources. Create comprehensive and accurate process/procedure documents, guidelines, job aids, hands-on training and other required resources, which are user-friendly and provide appropriate support/education for the end-user community.
  • Participate in the delivery of education and training to stakeholders and the end-user community.
  • Lead special projects as assigned.

Knowledge & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years HRIS experience.
  • Excellent understanding of HR and Payroll processes and procedures within the employee lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather requirements from non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience as an HCM System Subject Matter Expert.
  • Demonstrated experience with HCM System implementation(s).
  • Demonstrated ability to use clear, concise and effective verbal and written communication skills.
