Position Summary
The Housekeeper provides housekeeping and cooking services in the various offices and living quarters of the rectory. This is a part-time position, 15-18 hours per week. Days are flexible.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides housekeeping and cooking services for at the rectory and offices
- Does grocery shopping weekly
- Cleans residence of clergy
- Provides housekeeping services to include laundry and special meals
- Cleans offices and meeting rooms located within the rectory
- Provides cooking services for lunches and dinners at the rectory
- Works within the budget approved for food and housekeeping
- Reconciles weekly expenditures to weekly budget
Knowledge, Experience & Skill Requirements
- General knowledge and support of the Catholic Church
- Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently
- Must have ability to present pleasant, welcoming manner
- Must have thorough knowledge of cleaning and cooking
- Must have ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must have ability to perform outlined tasks with minimum supervision and be self-motivated
- Must be able to lift at least 35 pounds
- Must be able to stand for long periods
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule with evening and/or weekend hours
Relationships Requirements
Must be able to work with Pastor, Priests and other office personnel
