Under the direction of the Director of Foster Care, the supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of foster care staff providing case management and resource development services to the St. Francois community. Primary responsibilities include monitoring service delivery to assure compliance with the contract, licensing standards and COA specifications. The supervisor also assists the Director with all aspects of contract management and in other related duties as assigned

The position requires strong leadership skills; excellent communication and organizational abilities, a sense of humor, an ability to work with a diverse client and staff population, a desire to work as part of a team, a working knowledge of community resources and a passion for the right of every child to be part of a permanent, loving family.Minimum requirements include at least 3 years child welfare experience and a Master’s degree in social work or related human service degree (defined as sociology, psychology, psychiatry, mental health counseling, pastoral counseling, child development, special education or human services ONLY). Prior Child Welfare Practice training is required. Broad knowledge of child welfare services including Foster Care, Adoption and Parenting support services is preferred.
