Father Dempsey’s Charities is looking for a part-time Cook. We are located in Downtown,

St. Louis

Duties would include but are not limited to:

Cook food and prepare beverages according to menus, and numbers of portions to be served

Serve food and beverages to groups, facility residents, employees, and guests in an appealing manner

•Cook food and prepare beverages according to menus, and number of portions to be served

•Prepares food for residents, visitors and staff when applicable

•Maintains, cleans and sanitizes food equipment and work surfaces daily

•Compile and maintain records of food use and expenditures

•Take inventory of supplies and reorder as necessary

•Maintain compliance with all food service regulations and adhere to safe food handling practices

•Maintains work and food storage areas in organized sanitary manner

•Other duties as required

Requirements for the position include:

•High School diploma or related experience

•At least two years related food service experience

•Ability to operate food preparation and dishwashing machinery

•Must have a Servsafe certificate

•Practices good personal hygiene

Preferred:

•Prior experience in a healthcare or religious organization strongly preferred

•Familiarity with the Catholic Church structures and teaching
