Sacred Heart-Valley Park has a part-time Communications Coordinator opening.

Job Description - Position Overview:

The Communications Coordinator works to develop and produce all aspects of the parish’s print and online communication and materials that promote and represent Sacred Heart Parish. This position will also collaborate with the leaders of the ministry areas and on publicity and communications in support of desired ministry outcomes.

Major Responsibilities and Marketing:

This position will coordinate, prioritize, and oversee the production of all communication: Maintenance of the SHVP parish and school websites – post, update, manage, and maintain all information necessary to promote SHVP. Participate as a member of the Creative Team, brainstorming and envisioning ways to communicate best with the parish community. Keep the parishioners up to date on all news, announcements, and events happening around the parish. Create and design content for SHVP marketing purposes. Design event flyers, social media posts, event logos, LED sign graphics. Manage the LED sign by keeping the content up to date and designing graphics. Responsible for the production of email blasts through Flocknote. Prepare and produce the weekly parish bulletin. Manage and regularly post on the SHVP social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube). Serve as the gatekeeper for the parish/school calendar. Assist the SHVP ministries and organizations with their marketing and communication needs. Take photos and videos to use for social media and marketing. Attend the Community Engagement team meetings to assist with marketing for the school. Assist in the marketing for annual parish events. Coordinate bulk mailing for parish events and marketing for SHVP. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Publisher, Powerpoint. Familiar with updating and managing websites. Proficient in Content Creation. Proficient in Social Media (Facebook, Instagram Twitter, Youtube). Project management skills. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Highly detailed and organized. Familiar with Facebook Business Suite and Facebook Ads.
