Position Summary:

We have a full-time opportunity for an Accounting Clerk within the Accounts Payable department of the Finance Office, which resides at the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO. This role involves ensuring the timely and accurate processing of direct debit payments through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network.


Duties & Responsibilities:

•Reconciles daily ACH debit bank transactions with invoices and internal files

•Prepares ACH payments and reviews data entry

•Enters direct payment invoices into Lawson Accounts Payable

•Prepares weekly listing of significant ACH payments requiring dual signatures

•Prepares cash transfer upload batch entries and bank payment files

•Researches and resolves rejected ACH payments

•Assists in Accounts Payable month-end closings

•Other duties as assigned by the Accounts Payable Supervisor or Finance Manager


Knowledge & Experience Requirements:

•High School Diploma or Equivalent

•Electronic payments experience preferred

•Lawson, Excel, and Document Express experience preferred

•Must have the ability to effectively communicate information and to respond to common inquires or complaints from agencies and vendors.

•Must be detail-oriented

•Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan ahead

•Cooperative and willing to help in other areas of the Finance Office as needed.

•Creative, willing to consistently and continually review processes with an eye to improve processes.
