Fr. ShaughnessyT

Greetings all.  My name is Fr. Dan Shaughnessy.  Ordained in May 2012 at the age of 41, I have been a priest of the Archdiocese of St. Louis for a little over 9 years.  Originally trained as an architect (Washington University, B.A. in Architecture, 1993 and Master of Architecture, 1996), I took the scenic route to seminary, beginning my studies in 2006.  As I look back over the last 50+ years (I was born in 1970), I regularly marvel at all of the holy “bread crumbs” that our Father in Heaven left for me as I discerned a call the Priesthood of Jesus Christ.  I am delighted that Jane Guenther invited me to participate in this prayer/renewal/healing group.  I look forward to our time together.

Yours in Christ, Fr. Dan Shaughnessy

NEW - Holy Spirit Parish Ministry

We are pleased to announce the continuation of the Holy Spirit Parish Ministry of Support to assist those with family members suffering from mental illness.  This ministry will meet monthly and provide an opportunity for family members to come together with other parishioners with similar needs to pray for each other. The monthly meetings will have a theme based on scripture, an opportunity of intercessory prayer, and a period of discussion based on the monthly theme.  This group’s mission is to assist each member’s faith and reliance on God.  It is not a counseling session but an opportunity for the prayerful support of others. The meeting will be on Tuesday June 14 at 7:00 pm in the Community Room of the Parish Annex. For more information, please contact Michelle and Rick Keating at 314-739-1768 or [email protected].
