  • Science and Our Catholic Faith 07/15/2019 This event will explore the interplay between these two pursuits. Often there are questions such as “Can scientists be believers? Is there a conflict between faith and science? Can the two be compatible? Can science nurture my faith? Does it make sense to keep science and faith separate?” We will have a panel of three scientist-parishioners who will tell us about their fields, tell us what their faith means to them in light of their science, and address common questions. Few people feel comfortable with discussions of death or illness, but talking with family members about your wishes for the end-of-life issues that will arise and developing plans in advance can provide peace of mind and prevent undue burden on your loved ones. The Conversation: A Catholic Perspective on End-of-Life Issues is a seminar designed to provide you with the tools you need to give the gift of planning to your family.

This free event, hosted by Kenrick-Glennon Seminary in partnership with the Roman Catholic Foundation, is for people of all ages and life situations and will offer the chance to learn Church teaching on many of the areas Catholics need to consider. You will not be solicited at The Conversation; it’s simply a chance for you to learn how to get started in planning for the future according to your faith.

Topics include:

  • Principles of Catholic Bioethics
  • Advance Directives & Estate Planning
  • Charitable Gift Planning
  • Catholic Funeral & Cemetery Planning

Join us for The Conversation on Saturday, April 27 at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

To register, please visit rcfstl.org/the-conversation or call 314.918.2892.
