Welcome to the Holy Childhood Association! Print E-mail

The Holy Childhood Association is one of the four Pontifical Mission Societies and is active in 110 countries throughout the world. The goal of HCA is to gather prayers and financial support for children in mission countries, while at the same time animating a missionary spirit and inviting all children to help spread the Good News of Jesus to other children around the world. HCA endeavors to attain its ends through the united efforts of all Catholic children who are taught to recognize that sensitivity to others is an essential dimension of Christianity. HCA’s motto of “Children Helping Children” continues to guide the program today.

HCA’s membership is made up of students from Catholic elementary schools, parish schools of religion, and homeschooled children. These students take part in many activities throughout the year that foster their education and awareness of the missionary nature of the Church.

Each school and parish school of religion appoints a mission moderator, who acts as a liaison between his or her school and the (arch)diocese’s HCA Coordinator. The mission moderator is responsible for educating his or her students in mission awareness and support through prayer, sacrifice, and activities.

The Holy Childhood Association in the Archdiocese of Saint Louis serves students in over 100 Catholic elementary schools and parish schools of religion, and homeschooled students. We are proud of all of these students who follow the teachings of the Holy Childhood Association and work hard to support children around the world!
