Monsignor Pins offers his guidance to reporters and editors covering issues of importance to the 75,000 readers of the St. Louis Review, the Archdiocese’s weekly newspaper.

Monsignor Pins also serves as rector and administrator at the landmark Cathedral Basilica, commonly known as the New Cathedral, where the Archbishop celebrates Mass. One of the region’s top tourist attractions, the Basilica houses one of the largest mosaic collections in the world. From 1912 to 1988, 20 different artists created 83,000 square feet of mosaic art within the cathedral, using more than 41 million pieces of tile in more than 7,000 hues.

“Ever since the first grade, I’ve felt called by God – first to become a priest and later in every assignment I’ve been given. So each time I’m called to serve, it’s been a wonderful and holy experience.”
