Located at 6th and LaSalle. Building demolished in 1951.

 

Ascension / St. Paul – Normandy, 1945-2008

Ascension and St. Paul (Pine Lawn) merged in 1995 to form Ascension/St. Paul, which closed in 2008. Located at 7005 Ascension Drive.

 

Assumption – Herculaneum, 1916-2016

Located at 329 Station St.

 

Assumption – Perryville, 1817-1965

Located at 1000 Rosati Court. Building demolished. In 1965, Assumption merged with St. Boniface in Perryville to form St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Perryville.

 

Assumption - St. Louis City, 1861-1965

Located at 917 Sidney St. Building demolished.

 

Blessed Teresa of Calcutta – Ferguson, 2005-2023

Located at 120 N. Elizabeth Ave. In 2005, Good Shepherd, Sts. John and James, St. Bartholomew, St. Sebastian, Our Lady of Fatima, and North American Martyrs merged to form Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, located at the site of former Sts. John and James Parish. In 2023, Blessed Teresa of Calcutta was subsumed into Sacred Heart Parish in Florissant.

 

Corpus Christi – Jennings, 1915-2005

Located at 8449 Jennings Road. In 1999, Corpus Christi took over the territories of St. Lucy and St. Louise de Marillac. In 2005, Corpus Christi, St. Pius X, Our Lady of Good Counsel, and St. Catherine of Alexandria, and St. Jerome merged to form Holy Name of Jesus Parish, located at the site of former St. Jerome.

 

Cure of Ars – Shrewsbury, 1961-2023

Located at 670 S. Laclede Station Rd. In 2023, Cure of Ars was subsumed into St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Shrewsbury.

 

Good Shepherd – Ferguson, 1958-2005

Located at 921 Smith Ave. In 2005, Good Shepherd, Sts. John and James, St. Bartholomew, St. Sebastian, Our Lady of Fatima, and North American Martyrs merged to form Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, located at the site of former Sts. John and James Parish.

 

Holy Angels / Our Lady of the Angels – Kinloch, 1931-2002

In 2002, the property was donated to the City of Kinloch for a Museum and learning center, and the church was demolished. Located at 8122 Scott St.

 

Holy Cross - St. Louis City, 1863-1993

Formerly located in the town of Baden, which was incorporated into St. Louis City in 1876. Located at 8115-8145 Church Rd. In 1993, Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Holy Cross merged to form Our Lady of the Holy Cross, located at the site of the former Holy Cross Parish.

 

Holy Family – St. Louis City, 1898-2005

Located at 4125 Humphrey Ave.

 

Holy Ghost – Berkeley, 1923-1999

Located at 6314 Garfield Ave.

 

Holy Ghost - St. Louis City, 1879-1962

Located at 1901 N. Taylor Ave. Building demolished in 1975. In 1961, Visitation and Holy Ghost merged to form Visitation-Holy Ghost. The parish was renamed Visitation in 1975.

 

Holy Guardian Angels - St. Louis City, 1866-1991

Located at 1019 S. 14th St. In 1991, Holy Guardian Angels was suppressed and St. Vincent de Paul Parish took over the territory.

 

Holy Innocents - St. Louis City, 1854-2005

Located at 4923 Odell St.

 

Holy Name of Jesus – Bissell Hills, 2005-2023

Located at 10235 Ashbrook Dr. In 2005, Corpus Christi, St. Pius X, Our Lady of Good Counsel, and St. Catherine of Alexandria, and St. Jerome merged to form Holy Name of Jesus Parish, located at the site of former St. Jerome. In 2023, Holy Name of Jesus, Saint Angela Merici, and St. Norbert merged to form [parish name to be determined], located at the site of former [Church].

 

Holy Trinity - St. Ann, 2002-2020

Located at 3500 St. Luke Lane, which was the site of the former St. Gregory Parish.

 

Immaculate Conception – Arnold, 1840-2023

Located at 2300 Church Rd. In 2023, the parishes of Immaculate Conception and St. David merged to form [Parish Name To Be Determined], located at the site of the former Immaculate Conception.

 

Immaculate Conception – Maplewood, 1904-2023

Located at 2934 Marshall Ave. In 2023, Immaculate Conception was subsumed into St. Mary Magdalen Parish in Brentwood.

Most Holy Name of Jesus - St. Louis City, 1865-1992

In 1987, a fire destroyed Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and parishioners began attending Most Holy Name. The partnership was sometimes referred to as Our Lady of Perpetual Help/Most Holy Name. In 1992, Our Lady of Perpetual Help/Most Holy Name and Most Holy Trinity/St. Liborius were suppressed and Most Holy Trinity took over their former territories.

 

Most Holy Rosary - St. Louis City, 1891-1994

Located at 2047 E. Grand Blvd. In 1994, St. Engelbert and Most Holy Rosary merged to form St. Elizabeth Mother of John the Baptist, located at the St. Engelbert location.

 

Most Holy Trinity - St. Louis City, 1848-2023

Located at 3519 N. 14th St. Formerly located in the town of Bremen, which was incorporated into St. Louis City in 1850. In 1991, St. Liborius merged with Most Holy Trinity to form Most Holy Trinity/St. Liborius, located at the site of Most Holy Trinity. In 1992, Our Lady of Perpetual Help/Most Holy Name and Most Holy Trinity/St. Liborius were suppressed and Most Holy Trinity took over their former territories. In 2023, the parishes of Most Holy Trinity, Saint Nicholas and Saints Teresa and Bridget were merged to form St. Josephine Bakhita, which is located at the site of the former St. Teresa Church at 2431 N. Grand Blvd.

Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary – Belgique, 1884-1992

Located at 1200 W. Main, Box 66, Park Hills, MO. In 1992, Nativity of the Blesed Virgin Mary was suppressed and Our Lady of Victory Parish in Sereno took over the territory.

 

Nativity of Our Lord - St. Louis City, 1904-1982

Located at 5513 Oriole.

 

North American Martyrs – Florissant, 1955-2005

Located at 1400 S. Lafayette St. In 2005, Good Shepherd, Sts. John and James, St. Bartholomew, St. Sebastian, Our Lady of Fatima, and North American Martyrs merged to form Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, located at the site of former Sts. John and James Parish.

 

Notre Dame de Lourdes – Wellston, 1902-1992

Located at 1701 Kienlen Ave. In 1992, Notre Dame de Lourdes, St. Barbara, St. Edward, St. Mark, and St. Rose merged to form St. Augustine Parish, located at the site of former St. Barbara Parish.

 

Our Lady Help of Christians - St. Louis City, 1900-1975

Located at 1010 Cole St. Building demolished in 1975.

 

Our Lady of Covandago - St. Louis City, 1915-1932

Located at Virginia and Blow.

 

Our Lady of Czestochowa - St. Louis City, 1906-1957

Located at 4th and Victor. Building demolished in 1957.

 

Our Lady of Fatima – Florissant, 1950-2005

Located at 4500-50 Washington St. In 2005, Our Lady of Fatima’s territory south of I-70 merged with St. Dismas and St. Thomas the Apostle to form St. Rose Philippine Duchesne Parish, located at the site of the former St. Dismas Parish. In 2005, Our Lady of Fatima’s territory north of I-70 merged with Good Shepherd, Sts. John and James, St. Bartholomew, St. Sebastian, and North American Martyrs to form Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, located at the site of former Sts. John and James Parish.

 

Our Lady of Good Counsel - Bellefontaine Neighbors, 1894-2005

Located at 1100-1160 St. Cyr Rd. in Bellefontaine Neighbors. Parish was located at 1114 Destrehan in St. Louis City from 1894-1950. In 2005, Corpus Christi, St. Pius X, Our Lady of Good Counsel, and St. Catherine of Alexandria, and St. Jerome merged to form Holy Name of Jesus Parish, located at the site of former St. Jerome.

 

Our Lady of Loretto - Spanish Lake, 1959-2005

Our Lady of Perpetual Help - St. Louis City, 1874-1992

St. Bridget of Erin – St. Louis City, 1853-2003

Located at 2401 Carr St. St. Bridget of Erin and St. Teresa of Avila merged on July 2, 2003, to form Sts. Teresa and Bridget, located at the site of former St. Teresa Parish.

 

St. Casimir - Hathaway Manor, 1889-1992

Located at 10725 Vorhof Dr. St. Casimir was formerly located in St. Louis City at 8th and Mullanphy from 1889-1955, and the building was demolished for highway construction. In 1992, St. Casimir was suppressed and St. Christopher took over the territory.

 

St. Catherine of Alexandria – Coffman, 1887-2023

Located at 23496 State Route WW, Ste. Genevieve, MO. In 2023, St. Catherine of Alexandria was subsumed into St. Joseph Parish in Farmington. St. Cronan - St. Louis City, 1878-2023

Located at 2731 Pine St. The parish was suppressed by Cardinal Ritter to encourage racial integration.
